Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

The Schaller Family

Warning alert, warning alert: CUTENESS OVERLOAD ENSUES …. NOWWWWWWWWW
I’m reintroducing you to the Schaller Family. What a fun session this was! I’m always amazed how I can end a family session sometimes feeling just as tired as I do a wedding and I gotta say, this family kept me on the move!...

Hilary and Tim: Sneak Peek

What a way to end my 2009 season! When I booked Hilary and Tim earlier this year, I knew after friending Hilary on Facebook that I was going to be blessed with ridiculously good-looking clients to wrap up the year. AND HOW! Wow… these two are (as you can see) gorgeous! They’re great on the...

All in the family …

You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them. — Desmond Tutu
I love that quote. So, so much. And I’ve said it before here but it bears saying again that I feel REALLY blessed to have the family I have been given. Last month we got...

Kinsi and Jeff: The Engagement

I love people who are real. What do I mean by real? I mean the kind of people who show up for something ready to go with the flow. No fuss, no drama. The kind of people you just know would like, tip their waitress extra after seeing her embarrassingly drop a huge platter of...

Hug O’War

I will not play at tug o’war.
I’d rather play at hug o’war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
– Shel Silverstein

One of the best things about photographing children is being reminded of your own childhood. Sometimes, as in this case, in the most unexpected...

Adventures in LA, take two

While I was out in L.A., I stayed in Ventura and got to take in the view of the ocean from the balcony of Stacey’s sister’s apartment. I kind of wish I had a bike while I was there because I totally would have tried to coast down that hill to see if I could...

Adventures in LA, take one

Since I got back from L.A., I’ve talked to a lot of people about my trip. It’s a scenario that’s typically played out something like this: “Sooo I just got back from Los Angeles and MAN DO I LOVE IT OUT THERE.” Cue the crickets. “Reaaalllyy?” is their response. “L.A.? I mean, I can understand...

Johnston Family: Sneak Peek

I have to apologize to Zeb, Amy and little Logan with the delay in getting this sneak peek up. My days since this session have been go-go-go and all sorts of craziness! (Case in point: I’m out in Boston right now for a marketing conference! BOSTON!)
Amy sent me an e-mail this morning, excitedly asking me...

The Muir Family

I blogged the Muir family’s sneak peek a few weeks back so it’s been a while since you’ve seen their cuteness! For a reintroduction, meet Aaron, Stephanie and their precious baby girl, Alexandria. Stephanie found me through a friend who was a bridesmaid at my first wedding of 2009 back in April (doesn’ that feel...

The Schaller Family: Sneak Peek

I always feel like I give away too many details of what I love about a session when I write in these sneak peeks so I’m going to say “Mum’s the word” until I can fill this family’s full post with lots of wonderful adjectives. Oooh…who am I kidding?!! Failing to point out how much...
