Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

My 2010 in Pictures

“If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.”
T. Alan Armstrong
Here’s to another year—both for you all and for me—of living life...

What I’m Lovin’ Round-up: Take 12

1) Year End Lists: I had to laugh last week when I saw my friend, Cole’s, Tweet: “I made a year-end list of feelings I have when reading year-end top ten lists, but there’s only so many synonyms for sheer euphoric bliss.” Oh Cole, I KNOW THE FEELING. I get as giddy as a kid...

Best of 2010: Weddings

What a wonderful year it was for photographing weddings. I took something away from each one of the couples I captured in 2010 and, in turn, gave away a little piece of my heart to them. You might remember from a blog post I shared back in March, but a big change for me this...

Best of 2010: Portrait Sessions

Sureeeee…we photographers love putting these year-end posts together for our blog followers. But we’re kidding ourselves if we don’t admit that a big reason we spend time pulling ‘em off is for reflection — to remind us of what we’ve accomplished in any given year.
For me, the end of 2010 has brought about a kind...

#5…check and mark!

#5) Go sledding
Hope all my blog readers had an awesome holiday break! Whew… I don’t know about you all, but I ZONED OUT for the past 6 days! When family get-togethers happen, I let loose and relax 100 percent, visiting with everybody, eating, gabbing, watching cable, reading books, eating, knitting, gabbing some more…. And a...

#57…check and mark!

#57) Create Christmas ornaments for my past wedding clients of each year
It can be difficult for all of us who are photographers to find the time necessary to go out of our way and do a little extra “something something” for our clients. Especially at this time of year. And even if you DO find...

Canvas Love

I was SUPER excited when my friend and fellow photographer Kelly Heasley said she wanted to order a canvas from the session I did for her and her sweet hubby, Garth, back in October. (If you need a refresher on the awesomeness that was that post).
Even more exciting? Seeing just how GORGEOUS that canvas turned...

The Bergstrom Family

Some days I wish I had a teleporter sitting in my garage. ‘Cause if I did, I’d be shuttling Nick and I out at least once a month to pay a visit to Emily, Joe and Baby Juniper in Idaho. Yes, IDAHO. Where they live. As in hundreds (thousands?!) of miles away. But they were...

Favorite Christmas Music

I’m a believer that Christmas is the time of year where musical tastes should enter the judgment-free zone. Case in point? The fact I can like Dan Folgelberg’s “Same Old Lang Syne.” I had a spirited discussion with my husband about this the other day in which Nick described it as the most boring song...

Ten on Tuesday: December Edition

1. What do you order at Starbucks?
I always laugh when I visit Starbucks with someone who rattles off this crazy complicated order. I’m the TOTAL opposite. When it comes to drinks (of any kind), I’m a simple kind of gal. So, it’s usually one of a few things: Grande non-fat latte (iced if it’s summer...
