Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

What I’m Lovin’ Round-up: Take 3

1) Philosophy’s Raspberry Sorbet body wash: Or, really, ANY product from this wonderful company. But when my pal, Joy, got me this body wash last month, it took but one sniff and a good scrub to fall in love. There’s a recipe for raspberry sorbet on the bottle and every morning in the shower, I...

#60 Get letterpress business cards made
I’ve never been particularly proud to hand out my business cards for two reasons:
Reason No. 1: The first batch I ever made—the ones from WHCC that I was so happy to order, thinking they’d be perfect, until I realized the font I’d used was so teeny you’d need a...

March Self-Portrait: (or how) Cooking Calms Me Down

When I was 20, I thought cooking was what I was doing when I made Shake & Bake chicken and Rice-a-Roni for Nick and I’s first meal. In a house he shared with five other guys. (No visual cues needed for the state of that kitchen).
Eight years later and I’ve discovered what it truly means...

Taking time out for TOMS Shoes

Back in February, my mother-in-law bought me my first pair of TOMs. I’d been coveting a pair for ages, but saving for our Euro-trip really cut into my shopping budget! It felt good to tell her the story of TOMs, about this guy named Blake Mycoskie who gives away a pair of shoes for every...

Michele and Eric: Sneak Peek

You can think of your wedding day when you’re a little girl and one thing you’ll never factor in to the fantasy is RAIN. People can post on your Facebook wall before your wedding not to worry, the skies will clear up. It’s not going to RAIN on your wedding day. Then the day comes...

The right words for a day like today

Every now and then you read a book full of sentences that make you stop and ponder just how great they really are. How beautiful the words and the meaning and how brilliant the author whose mind and fingers put them on to the page.
Colum McCann’s “Let the Great World Spin” was one of those...

A new and improved 101 in 1001

Way back when, a few months after I first started following the blog of the talented mentor and friend, Melissa Jill, I borrowed (not stole, ’cause Melissa’s the first to encourage you to share in this industry ), the idea of adapting a 101 in 1001 list.
What, exactly, is that? Many of you...
