Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

#4…check and mark! (and my April self-portrait!)

#4)  Take a picture of myself visiting NYC in Times Square
Last picture to share from my NYC travels but I just didn’t want to let this one slip by without crossing it off my list! I think it’s funny that on my old 101 list, I also had “Ride an elevator to the top of...

East Coast Recap: NYC (did that REALLY happen?!)

When I travel, I embrace my inner tourist. I walk down streets and let loose shrieks of delight when I spot buildings and attractions I’ve admired in books and movies. I pull out one of my handy dandy miniature guidebooks every 3 blocks to, you know, see if there was anything in those last 40...

East Coast Recap: Philly

Lately, I’ve been prone to thinking about how much my camera has influenced my life. It’s not magic or anything like that ( just a tool to create the images I do) but one without which I’d have missed out on SO many wonderful things over the past two years. For instance, if there was...

What I’m Lovin’ Round-Up: Take 4

I’m getting that urge to blab about some of the “stuff” I’m loving as of late which made me think, “Hey…it’s time to head over to my blog with all this!” So here we go again ….

1) NBC’s Parenthood
A few weeks ago I was laid up sick on the couch and NBC’s Parenthood came...

A Philly AND New York state of mind

I’m leaving today for a whirlwind trip to visit a dear friend and fellow photographer, Tina, in her hometown of Philadelphia. Now, I’ve never been to Philly before, so this of course means I’m going to drag this gal pal of mine along to do allllllll the touristy stuff one must do when they’re in...

#45 … check and mark!

#45 Develop packaging for my products
When I added this one to my list, it seemed easy enough. I mean, how hard is it to put together a branded look for your marketing materials? Goods that help your product stand out? That make booking you more than about just the pictures that get taken? Well, if...

Here’s to you spring ….

Gorgeous dame that you are. Why don’t you stick around instead of just flirting with us for another year? Think about it.
Love,

They are the women I knit with

Our backgrounds are as different as can be, our ages cover a wide spread, and yet there is at least one thing we can all agree on—how much we love to knit.

There is Marilyn, who’s been working on a blue sweater since I’ve known her. I know one day she’ll finish it and it’ll be...

New wedding albums for a new year

I’m super excited to announce that I’ve selected a new vendor for my wedding albums and now that I’ve got my first sample album in hand, I couldn’t be happier with the results! Do you all remember Gaylena and Kevin’s GORGEOUS wedding? I couldn’t think of a better couple for the sample album of my...

It’s how I know spring has sprung

Not only is it my favorite color, it’s also the first to blossom each spring, making it—in my book—the official host of the season. Say hello to the lovely forsythia.

I’ve made this my spring desktop. If you’d like to grab it too (an unwatermarked version), you can download it here.
