Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Kinsi and Jeff: Their Wedding Story

I loved ALL the details of Kinsi and Jeff’s wedding. Bottles and bell jars and daisies and lots of homemade touches. Jeff surprised Kinsi the morning of their wedding with the sweetest note in a bottle. That guy is a keeper, right Kinsi?
Jeff and Kinsi decided to see one another before their ceremony....

P90(e)X(hausted) (and a May self-portrait)

“Gail, will you work out with me tonight?” he asks. “It’s just, you know, we bought these tapes and you said you’d do them with me and it’s cardio tonight and…”
Every ounce of me that’s been pummeled by a week with shoot after shoot on top of a day job on top of an overwhelming...

Sarah and Adam: Sneak Peek

Whew! What a week! I’m in New York City this week for a workshop on social media for my day job but I didn’t want to let my travels stand in the way of posting a sneak peek from a fun engagement session I just did with Sarah and Adam! These two are so sweet...

What I’m Loving Round-up: Take 5

A peek at some of the stuff I’m loving as of late:
1) Simply Vera Vera Wang dress pants from Kohl’s
These pants float my boat in a major, major way. With wedding season in full swing, I’m donning a pair every weekend and I love how well they are made, how they fit, how they’re not...

Kinsi and Jeff: Sneak Peek

There are certain couples with whom you click in a profound way. And there are weddings that—for whatever the reason may be—you will never forget, no matter how many more you shoot. For me, that couple was Kinsi and Jeff; that wedding being the one I witnessed from behind my viewfinder on Saturday as these...

Jen and Josh: Their Wedding Story

Jen and Josh decided to have a First Look before their wedding and it was the PERFECT opportunity for them to get those pre-wedding jitters out of the way and have an intimate moment together before the whirlwind of their wedding day got underway. Jen’s mom got emotional in the moment too. How sweet! How...

The proof I needed …

For most of my weddings, I’m hired as a one-gal show. If I do have someone accompany me, it’s in the role of assistant, never a second shooter. That all changed earlier this month when Courtney Reece accompanied me as second shooter to my most recent wedding. You know how people always talk about how...

Tina and Jay: The Engagement

While I was out in Philly, Tina and I hatched a master plan to shoot an engagement session for her and her fiance, Jay. We were going to head downtown into the city on Sunday morning, capture shots of them in front of their favorite haunts where they’d lived, grab a bite of brunch, enjoy...

Jen and Josh: Sneak Peek

Mother Nature wanted to play games on Saturday with all the Hoosier photographers gearing up to photograph weddings. Thankfully, the rain stayed away and while the clouds looked threatening, we got a day of nice diffused light instead and hey, I’ll TOTALLY take that!
I have to thank the talented Courtney Reece for traveling up from...
