Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Nicole and Jason: The Wedding

Nicole and Jason were SO ready for their wedding day to arrive. And when that day came? It was, according to sources that include Nicole’s best friend (hi Stephani ), perfect (minus a few issues with a certain groomsman’s pocket square, but hey, nothing like a fellow groomsman with an iPhone to save...

Dani and Greg: The Engagement

When I was out visiting Gwyn last month, we not only shot an awesome wedding in Boston, we met up on a fantastically gorgeous Sunday to photograph some clients and friends of hers, Dani and Greg, who are getting married in July. It was so much fun to tag along on this engagement shoot. Dani...

My newest obsession: Pictorymag.com

I love when you find something on the Internet, something that’s SO good that within 5 minutes you go from, “Eh, this is just another Web site to THIS IS THE COOLEST SITE EVER”.
And then you’re like, “I have GOT to tell someone about this.” And then you email your best friend at work and...

#2) Visit New England
At some point during my visit at the end of last month to shoot with the lovely Gwyneth Colleen, Gwyn was quick to point out that while I had been telling people I’d not really been to New England before my trip to see her, that—as a matter of fact—I’d been to...

Nicole and Jason: Sneak Peek

If you asked me to name two individuals who “get” one another, it’d be Nicole and Jason. These two are super smart, super fun and super quirky and I had a blast photographing their wedding on Saturday. In the same minute that this couple could get their snuggle on, being all in love, all it...

How to have an awesome time in New York City

Get lucky taking a cab driven by a fella who disproves your theory all NYC cabbies have a death wish for their passengers. Feel a little breathless crossing into the city on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Spend the next few hours walking around the Upper East Side, taking photos of the Guggenheim, Central Park, statues...

Sarah and Adam: The Engagement

Sarah and Adam are so laidback and sweet. We met up in Broadripple in Indianapolis, which is where their relationship got started (they both saw each other for the first time on the Monon Trail there and lived in the area for a few years). I loved the easy rapport between these two and how...

Too much of a good thing

I used to wonder if I’d ever get sick of traveling. It’s become such a part of my late 20s, something I love to do so very much. Because of this, I’d think to myself, “Nahhh…no way. Not possible. There could never be too much of this kind of good thing.”
After the week I’m coming...
