Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Allison and Grant: Their Wedding Story (Part II)

Details, details and more incredible details! No matter where you turned, it was easy to see that Allison had let no part of her wedding day go without a touch of her TLC. Allison and Grant celebrated their nuptials not with a traditional wedding cake but instead, with dozens of pies. Yummmm…makes me want a...

Allison and Grant: Their Wedding Story (Part I)

We started the day with Allison, her maids, her mom and a family friend. This home had such fantastic light to capture Allison getting ready. And this group was SO sweet. They made sure Tina and I had lunch with them and we were blessed by their hospitality.Allison has SUCH an eye for details, is...

Jennifer and Brandon: Sneak Peek

Oh fall … just keep cooperating with me for a few more weeks, okay? If you give me weather (chilly though it was) like the beautiful evening I had with Jennifer and Brandon for their recent engagement session, I will not complain come winter. Well, I’ll at least wait until that second snow to start...

Why I’ll keep behind the camera

As I finish editing Allison and Grant’s beautiful winery wedding, I have to laugh at some of the “outtakes” Tina captured of me while shooting throughout the course of the day.
These photos are proof that I clearly belong BEHIND the camera. Because, when its lens is turned on me, I don’t just smile. I get...

Erin and Adam: Sneak Peek

Launching a photo biz is a sure-fire way to bring friends from your past back into your present. I knew Erin from our years in junior high and high school together, and while she moved before the beginning of our sophomore year, I remembered her personality as laid-back, fun and sarcastic. Oh, and that she...

#66) Purchase the 35 1.4 lens

The longer I photograph people, the more content I find myself with my gear. I’m not someone who feels like I have to chase every new camera body that comes out (for those who’ve asked, I still shoot with my trust, 2-year-old Canon 5D and love it!) and I’ve gotten...

Kelly and Garth

There are people you meet who just stick out to you. With Kelly, I remember it was feeling charmed the first time I saw her cute profile icon on the OSP forum. That was oohh…almost 3 years ago? On a whim, I sent her a message. She sent one back. And before long, we found...
