Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

What I’m Lovin’ Round-Up: Take 14

NOTE: I put this entry together before I headed off to WPPI but, with the events of last week, didn’t get around to sharing it when I intended to. A few standing features coming down the pipe late this month, but given February’s circumstances, I’m giving myself a free pass on all matters where the...

Remembering my grandmother

This has most definitely been one of the most difficult weeks of my life, one filled with extreme highs and lows of the kind that make me feel as though I’ve lived not seven days, but seven years. I flew out last Sunday to my first-ever WPPI, celebrating my 29th birthday with dear friends in...

#71) Read a classic novel
In the world of books, I can think of a few titles that have ALWAYS been daunting to me. Two of which—War and Peace and Anna Karenina—share the same author. I have no idea why I chose as hectic a month as this has been to finally decide to get...

Michelle Obama, me and that H&M polka dot dress

It all started with a Tweet. Last week, I’d seen First Lady Michelle Obama making the morning talk show rounds in an adorable polka dot dress. As of late, I’ve been obsessed with polka dots and had been wanting to add some to my wardrobe. When  I found out that the stylish Ms. Obama had...

The power of workshops

About six months after I came back in 2009 from attending Melissa Jill’s MJ 2 Day Workshop (an experience I blogged about here), I had someone email me the following:
I just recently discovered your blog and I think it’s great! I started from the beginning of your archives to present.  I...

Practicing his dance moves

It’s been an interesting couple of weeks in the Werner household. And much of it has to do with Nick’s involvement with an upcoming dance competition. Yes. I said DANCE COMPETITION.
When Nick came to me at the start of the year to explain that Ivy, a co-worker and friend of his from the newspaper, was...

The great life…

I was waiting for my latte at Starbuck’s, flipping through a book they had on display, and came across the pages that became the inspiration for this. Happy Valentine’s Day, Nickolas.
XOXO, G

#94) Create a Tumblr account
If you took a look at my inbox, you’d see that I e-mail myself. A lot. With subject lines that start with “Dont’ forget this link” or “You should post that to Twitter sometime”. You think I’m joking, right? But sadly, I’m a dork who’s totally not.
A few months back, I...

STYLE BLOGS
When it comes to fashion, I’ve always just been someone who scans blogs. Looks for trends. And then, quite honestly, is too intimidated to try any of them. When I do shop, I tend to do so impulsively. Buying something because it’s on sale. Then, getting home, only to realize, “Huh…I’ve got nothing else...
