Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Lauren and Kody: Sneak Peek

These two were up for my ideas when it came to their engagement shoot. And when I say up, I mean, as in, BEFORE dawn. I met up with Lauren and Kody yesterday in a beautiful park in Indianapolis. At sunrise, we had the whole place to ourselves. And, I gotta say…it was lovely. Kind...

The Smith Family

I don’t know how I got so lucky the first time April Smith asked me to photograph her family. It was one of my favorite sessions of 2010, so, when April asked that I photograph them again this year—this time, as a family of four—I was giddy to get to hang out with someone I’ve...

Celebrating my home team

I recently finished reading Shauna Niequist’s “Bittersweet” and it’s a book chock full of essays that really resonated with me. I’ve written once before about Shauna’s books and I found this second collection of hers just as meaningful to me as her first. There were two essays in particular that stuck out to me while...

June Goals

A week into June, but hey, better late than never, right?
BUSINESS GOALS
• Post once a week over at the B School: I feel bad that I bought my subscription nearly two months ago and have only jumped only half-dozen times. Need to get better about this one!
• Have all June shoots culled and...

Jennifer and Chris: Sneak Peek

Friends, it’s late. I’ve had a long day. But since that day involved a wonderfully laid-back, in love couple with some INSANELY fun ideas for their engagement session, I’m wrapping things up tonight ready to hit the covers with a big ‘ol smile on my face. ‘Cause, really, there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing...

Lauren and Ben: Their Wedding Story

I photograph some ridiculously fun people and Lauren is definitely one of them. She’s so at ease with the camera and was having so much fun on her wedding day that this face she mugged as her bridesmaids helped her get dressed kept making an appearance. Just adore her! Lauren’s fabulously brilliant purple Betsey Johnson...

What I’m Lovin’ Round-Up: May 2011

So, I’m posting this on Wednesday, June 1. But since this is a holiday week and your Tuesday felt like your Monday, then your Wednesday should feel like a Tuesday, right? In which case, well, it’s still May 31
