Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Chrissy and Ross: Their Wedding Story

I thought Chrissy and Ross’s matching wedding bands were so classic and beautiful—kind of like all the rest of their wedding day details! While Chrissy was tearing up over the sweet letter Ross wrote her for the big day….Ross was donning the watch Chrissy gave him—a piece she hopes can become their first family heirloom.Love...

What I’m Lovin’ Round-up: September 2011

1) “Drive”: After Nick and I saw this new flick in the theater earlier this month, I posted to Twitter: “Pretty in Pink” + “Scarface”=”Drive.” It was a 1980s look and feel with a bunch of gore but, most importantly, RYAN GOSLING. Friends, that name right there is really all you need to get me...

Ten on Tuesday: September ‘11 Edition

(Full disclosure—these questions I select come from the Web site, Roots and Rings—sometimes they ask the silliest things, but I always find their options fun. Plus, I could never think of this many questions to ask of myself!)
This month’s questions come in the form of
WOULD YOU RATHER
1. eat chocolate-covered grasshoppers or this freaky squid thing?
OK,...

Jennifer and Chris: Sneak Peek

Saturday’s wedding was one I’d been looking forward to all year long. I mean, you remember Jennifer and Chris’s engagement session, right?
Never mind the day’s overcast skies—the color of the wedding was yellow. From the sunflowers that made an appearance in Jennifer’s bouquet to the myriad of details gracing the carnival tent reception,...

September Self-Portrait: Getting My Geek On

Earlier this month, I walked into the library and was stopped in my tracks by this gorgeous display of portraits in front of me. “I geek acting.” “I geek gardening.” “I geek vampires.” What the? I wondered. Then I looked closer and realized this was a campaign of some sorts. And then I realized, it...

#39…check and mark!

#39) Create a collage of prints of my travels; hang them in the living room
In what’s become my version of “The Living Room Remodel That Never Ends,” I’ll share that I’m quite proud that, over the summer, I crossed off another goal for the 101 list while, at the same time, making another baby...

The Shafer Family (in 2011)

Two years ago when I visited the Los Angeles area with one of my dearest pals, Stacey, we stayed with her sister, Erin, Erin’s hubby, Jeff, and their (then) newborn, Maya. It didn’t take me long to fall in love with California—or, in turn, with the sweet Shafer clan. I took photos for them...
