Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Lauren and Kody: Sneak Peek

If I felt like I was in a bit of a fairy tale on Saturday while shooting Lauren and Kody’s BEAUTIFUL fall wedding, well….I can’t imagine how these two felt! It was an incredible day, one that found this newly married couple surrounded by so many sweet family and friends (I love that both Lauren...

Jennifer and Chris: Their Wedding Story (Part II)

The DIY details of Jennifer and Chris’s carnival-themed nuptials had me in shooting overload. Everywhere I turned, another touch of this couple’s creativity and hard work pulling off the perfect day! Love it when live musicians are hired to escort a bride down the aisle….And instead of a guestbook, Jennifer and Chris had their friends...

Jennifer and Chris: Their Wedding Story (Part I)

Jennifer had not one—but TWO—beautiful dresses to celebrate her big day. Both were GORGEOUS and perfect for the occasion! (and might I add they had pockets? GENIUS!) So many personal details that tied into their festive carnival theme, from Jennifer’s charm bracelet and other vintage jewelry to the handkerchief she kept on hand in the...

The Pinegar Family: Sneak Peek

Internet, meet Calvin. And those are his parents, Laura and Alex, in the background. But come on, we know who’s the star of this photo session right? It’s this adorable little 1-year-old in his cute-as-can-be overalls! When I saw this image as I was downloading cards from our Sunday session, I knew it was a...

Anne and Ryan: Sneak Peek

In the months leading up to the big day, I knew that Anne and her mom, Becky, had been crossing every finger and every toe in the hope there would be beautiful weather for Anne and Ryan’s October 8th wedding. WAS THERE EVER. All night you could hear people talking about how it was the...

Five Years

I put a lot of pressure on myself on what I wanted to write on this day. One that began with a sweet email from my husband with the subject line: “Happy Anniversary!” Knowing this was a post I wanted to write and that these were memories I wanted to relive, I tucked into our...

The Decker Family: 2011 Portraits

When Holly contacted me early in the summer about setting up September portraits with her family, of course I didn’t hesitate to say “YES!” I just adore this family and how laid-back they are. How, when we get together, it feels like old friends. It’s how I want every portrait session of mine to be...

September Book Review: Love Marks by Kevin Roberts

Of all the biz-themed books I’ve been reading this year, I have to admit that “Lovemarks” did the least for me.
I found the style of the book the hardest element in luring me in. Whereas I’m sure a lot of visual types (or individuals with ADHD) would be drawn to how the author, Kevin Roberts...
