Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

A conversation recently overheard in the Werner house

[It's past midnight and the pair of us are trying to fall asleep]

Me: “Ugh. I soo shouldn’t have taken that nap tonight.”

Nick: “You ALWAYS take naps. Then you wonder why you can’t fall asleep.”

Me: “I can’t help it. 7 o’clock is like the bewitching hour for me. I always get sleepy if I’m on the couch.”

Nick: “Bewitching? Did you just say ‘bewitching?’ Ummm…I think you meant to, inappropriately I might add, use the phrase ‘witching’ … ”

Me: “No, I think I mean ‘bewitching.’ That’s totally a word, right?”

Nick: “Yeah.. if by ‘bewitching’ you mean that hour of night one would watch ‘Bewitched‘ on TV.”

[Another 5 minutes pass. There is laughter on my end at my husband's wit, a bit more tossing and turning, and finally some debating of whether to Google "bewitching" for a definitive answer. Nick rises and, a few minutes later, returns from the computer.]

Nick: “For the record … the “witching” hour means the time when supernatural creatures such as witches, demons, and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful. It can also refer to the period from midnight to 3am — definitely NOT the 7 o’clock hour that is your nap time. And oh yeah, there’s no entry for ‘bewitching.’”

Me: [still giggling]: “I love you for doing that.”

Nick: “And I love you despite the 101 ways you manage to butcher the English language.”

September 17, 2009 - 8:41 am April - LOL, this is a great post! I think most women butcher the English language. I know I do a good job of it! ;o) I make up words all the time! p.s. they refer to the "witching hour" for babies/toddlers btwn 4-7pm, when they are the crankiest.

September 17, 2009 - 8:59 am Brandi - LOL. That sounds like my husband and I too. A) I would SO say that B) He would SO get up and google it.

September 17, 2009 - 5:24 pm Gail - Trace: And all the more proof I married Ted Mosby! (I always think of the episode where they stage the intervention for his grammar god ways! haha)
