Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

What I’m Lovin’ Round-up: Take 2

Here it is crew, another take on what it is I’m loving as of late. And for all of you who’ve stumbled on to my blog in recent weeks, I know it’s been absent of client photos. I promise, I AM still a photographer. And my season will pick up again starting in March. For...

What I’m Lovin’ Round-up: Take 1

When I started a section on my blog called “I really love,” I thought I’d document one thing I love per post. (You know, maybe a book or a movie, or some pair of earrings I loved so much they hadn’t left my lobes in weeks.) Then I realized, over time, that a lot of...

Favorite Music Finds of ‘09

I pretty much shout from the mountain tops I’m addicted to music. Last year, I took to the blog to talk about some of my favorite tunes of ‘08, and I decided (that’s right, it’s my blog, I can do this kinda stuff if I wanna ) to make it an annual thing.
So...

Quirky, fun, creative calendars.
With this being the last month of ‘09, I dipped into the pocket book to purchase a few new lovely calendars to start the new year (the NEW DECADE …isn’t that insane?) off right. See, I’m a bit of a calendar junkie. I have to stop myself at just buying three for...

Fuzzy socks.
It’s that time of year again, isn’t it? Where those of us with bare tile/wood/linoleum floors wake up each morning hopping, cursing the cold surface beneath us, until we reach the sock drawer. And yup, there they are. Just waiting for us like a good book or an old friend. Our favorite pair of...

The Swell Season.
2009 has been a year of live music for me. I’ve seen a lot of great shows, from indie artists to bigger acts like Kings of Leon and Coldplay. But not even Chris Martin hitting every note of “Fix You” moved me the way seeing this duo live just did. Being a creative...

Honest Tea.
Is it weird I’m blogging about a tea I love? (It’s probably weird). That I actually TOOK PHOTOS of the inside of the caps of my tea? (Definitely weird). That I COLLECT these caps? (Yep, you’ve definitely just envisioned me as that woman, the one who sits in her apartment on a velour floral...

Dave Eggers’ new book, Zeitoun.

I’ve been a fan of Eggers for some time now, from his debut novel, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, to his more recent What is the What, the story of a real-life Sudanese refugee (Valentino Achak Deng). It’s a novel that breaks your heart and lifts you up, all at...
