Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

The Shafer Family — Santa Monica-Ventura Family Portraits

It takes a special kind of person to be cool with a stranger crashing at her pad for four nights. Erin and her hubby, Jeff, are indeed special kind of people. I stayed with them in their apartment during my visit to L.A. this fall and loved getting to know the pair of them. They...

The Johnstons — Fort Wayne Family Portraits

I have been SO EXCITED to post this session because my heart is filled with so much love for this family! As I mentioned on my sneak peek of these guys a few weeks back, Zeb and I have known one another since grade school and he is someone who is just 100-percent, to-the-core good....

The Schaller Family

Warning alert, warning alert: CUTENESS OVERLOAD ENSUES …. NOWWWWWWWWW
I’m reintroducing you to the Schaller Family. What a fun session this was! I’m always amazed how I can end a family session sometimes feeling just as tired as I do a wedding and I gotta say, this family kept me on the move!...

Hug O’War

I will not play at tug o’war.
I’d rather play at hug o’war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
– Shel Silverstein

One of the best things about photographing children is being reminded of your own childhood. Sometimes, as in this case, in the most unexpected...

Johnston Family: Sneak Peek

I have to apologize to Zeb, Amy and little Logan with the delay in getting this sneak peek up. My days since this session have been go-go-go and all sorts of craziness! (Case in point: I’m out in Boston right now for a marketing conference! BOSTON!)
Amy sent me an e-mail this morning, excitedly asking me...

The Muir Family

I blogged the Muir family’s sneak peek a few weeks back so it’s been a while since you’ve seen their cuteness! For a reintroduction, meet Aaron, Stephanie and their precious baby girl, Alexandria. Stephanie found me through a friend who was a bridesmaid at my first wedding of 2009 back in April (doesn’ that feel...

The Schaller Family: Sneak Peek

I always feel like I give away too many details of what I love about a session when I write in these sneak peeks so I’m going to say “Mum’s the word” until I can fill this family’s full post with lots of wonderful adjectives. Oooh…who am I kidding?!! Failing to point out how much...

The Muir Family: Sneak Peek

The first time Stephanie, Aaron and little Alexandria and I attempted this session, it was raining buckets and the temperature was hovering near 40 degrees. Well, all I can say is what a difference a WEEK makes! We had a wonderful session with this adorable three-some in their scenic front yard and while I have...

Corbin: Sneak Peek

It’s been a while since I photographed a senior and I forgot how much fun it is! Having your senior portraits taken is one of the few opportunities where you get to shine on your own. And well, all I have to say about Corbin is, “Are you ready to give the ladies your phone...

The King Family — and welcome to my new blog!

To say I’ve been counting down the days to the launch of this new blog and my new website would be like saying the Pope is kinda religious. Or that Richard Simons kinda likes spandex shorts. In other words — for me — THIS IS A REALLY BIG DEAL AND I’M SOOOO GLAD YOU’VE STOPPED...
