Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

The Smith Family

I don’t know how I got so lucky the first time April Smith asked me to photograph her family. It was one of my favorite sessions of 2010, so, when April asked that I photograph them again this year—this time, as a family of four—I was giddy to get to hang out with someone I’ve...

The Smith Family: Sneak Peek

They’re baacccckkkkkkkk! If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I adore the Smith family—definitely some of my favorite people to photograph. I first shot April and her family last summer, when she was pregnant with the new little man in her life, Finn (who’s now 9 months). As we got together on Saturday...

The Kingdon Family

Back with a full post of photo goodness featuring the Kingdon family! I said it before and I’ll say it again, but it was a real treat getting to work with this threesome for an afternoon. One of the life facts about Heather and Ben that I latched on to was discovering that, like me...

Kingdon Family: Sneak Peek

I couldn’t have asked for a better portrait session to kick off my 2011 shooting season than my April afternoon with the sweet-as-can be Kingdon trio. Heather and her hubby, Ben, are just over the moon in love with their little man, Liam. (I am such a sucker for ginger-haired cuties ) Obviously,...

Mallory: 7 Months

It’s been SO fun to edit these images over the past few days; seeing my best friend radiant as a new mother with her cute-as-can-be daughter is as much a gift to me as giving these images is to her. When you have people you love in your life, you love seeing them in a...

An afternoon in Red Rock Canyon

I’d be remiss if I didn’t wrap up last month’s trip out to Vegas with a blog post about our visit out to Red Rock Canyon. The place was so gorgeous in its desert-y kind of way. Great word, right? Desert-y. But you know what I mean — giant rocks everywhere, yucca plants, that baked...

Mallory: Sneak Peek

Over the weekend, when I wasn’t inhaling paint fumes (our living room painting project is in progress), I was loving on my best friend’s little baby girl, Mallory. Tracy is my go-to girl and I adore capturing every milestone in this little lovie’s life (from in the womb to newborn to now). We had planned...

Best of 2010: Portrait Sessions

Sureeeee…we photographers love putting these year-end posts together for our blog followers. But we’re kidding ourselves if we don’t admit that a big reason we spend time pulling ‘em off is for reflection — to remind us of what we’ve accomplished in any given year.
For me, the end of 2010 has brought about a kind...

The Bergstrom Family

Some days I wish I had a teleporter sitting in my garage. ‘Cause if I did, I’d be shuttling Nick and I out at least once a month to pay a visit to Emily, Joe and Baby Juniper in Idaho. Yes, IDAHO. Where they live. As in hundreds (thousands?!) of miles away. But they were...
