Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Jennifer and Chris: Sneak Peek

Saturday’s wedding was one I’d been looking forward to all year long. I mean, you remember Jennifer and Chris’s engagement session, right?
Never mind the day’s overcast skies—the color of the wedding was yellow. From the sunflowers that made an appearance in Jennifer’s bouquet to the myriad of details gracing the carnival tent reception,...

Jennifer and Brandon: Sneak Peek

What a way to start off what’s turned out to be a FANTASTIC Labor Day weekend! On Friday, I photographed the wedding of the GORGEOUS Jennifer and HANDSOME Brandon—their day was one I’d been looking forward to for some time as Jennifer was one of my former students at Ball State, so I’ve always thought...

Shandry and John: Their Wedding Story

In addition to her emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, Shandry wore this beautiful antique ring of her great-grandmother’s (her something old!) and a sweet pair of flats. John was so adorably nervous as he waited for Shandry to come upstairs for their first look. As I told the pair of them, better to get the nerves...

Last month, I spent a good chunk of my Fourth of July weekend doing what I love to do on weekends—photographing a wedding! But this one was all sorts of special as I accompanied Louisville photographer and close friend Courtney Reece to a very special destination wedding on Sanibel Island in Florida. It’s always such...

Mandi and Sam: Their Wedding Story

I absolutely adored Mandi’s dad’s hat for the day. Her dad is a big fan of ball caps and since my dad is too, I couldn’t let this detail pass me by!I can’t help but include these — Mandi’s face as she made it through the top of her wedding dress (which was being  OH...

Shandry and John: Sneak Peek

This wedding was such a fun one for me——John and I go waayyyyy back. Like, we were in high school together and played trumpet for three years when we were kids back. And I got to know his younger sister, Julie, the same way when I was her section leader and she picked up where...

Melissa and Andrew: Their Wedding Story

Melissa’s mom, Martha, works at a dentist’s office in town and she made sure all the girls were prepared when it came to fresh, minty breath! I told Melissa I thought it made for such a cute personal detail to the day. Martha should be there for all my brides who’d appreciate the gesture the...

Mandi and Sam: Sneak Peek

It may have been one of the hottest days of the year for Mandi and Sam’s wedding Saturday, but Mandi was a bride who was cool as a cucumber. She didn’t sweat any of the little things, had a perma-grin on her face all day and, oh yeah, did I mention she looked GORGEOUS?! Sam,...
