Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Corbin: Senior Photos

At the risk of possibly embarrassing him, I probably shouldn’t say this. But I’m going to anyway: I’ve known Corbin since he was ohhhhh….. about 7 years old. And I’m not sure that fact really hit me until I started processing these photos. AND SUDDENLY FELT WAY OLD.

That admission out of the way, let me just say that I love the Bell family. I have known Corbin’s older brother, Justin, since high school. Earlier this summer, I photographed the AMAZING wedding of his sister, Ashley. So when Ashley called me a few months ago and asked if I’d be up for taking Corbin’s senior photos, there was no other answer but “Of course!”

What I didn’t expect over the course of this session was to start out seeing Corbin as the kid I remembered who, somewhere during the editing process, became a man. AND A HOT ONE AT THAT. Corbin, I hope you enjoy the rest of your senior year. Thanks for being so accomodating on this shoot, for being cool with your mom and sister tagging along, and for making my job easy :) Folks, if I wouldn’t know better myself, I’d say some of these shots are ready for a men’s magazine. GQ anybody? :)

To see the rest of Corbin’s shoot, CLICK HERE for his slideshow.

Corbin is an athlete at my alma mater, Woodlan High School. So we started out with some classic letter jacket shots that I just love (But Corbin, remember what Ashley told you: Letter jackets are best left at home your freshman year of college :) )

We ventured into downtown Fort Wayne for the remainder of our shoot and this next series of photos are some of my favorite I’ve shot all year. Guys sometimes have a hard time feeling comfortable in front of the camera, but Corbin was like an old pro. I love the mood of this first one ….

To the Woodlan ladies of the Class of 2010, I say: Wholesome and good looking, no?

Wow. Wow. Wow. This one might be my favorite. 0027corbinbell0028corbinbell0030corbinbell

I don’t know if it’s all the Esquires I’ve been reading (yes, I enjoy men’s magazines – actually more than most ‘zines for the ladies), but I TOTALLY feel like these are just ready for a photo spread inside its pages.

Corbin, I promise you if you make a wallet of this next photo, every gal you give it to will hang it up in her locker :) (remember doing that?!)

Thanks again to the Bell family for a wonderful evening and for treating me to Coney Island after the shoot! You guys are the best!

You did an amazing job of capturing the feel of "senior photos", and then when you were finished with that, you went and BLEW THIS THING OUT OF THE WATER! My super-fave is the one where Corbin is touching the back of his neck and looking straight at the camera. It's all about the eyes. ;) Way to go, girl. You are SOOO consistent. Everything you touch now is coming out beautiful - that's how you know you've arrived. ;)
