Fuzzy socks.
It’s that time of year again, isn’t it? Where those of us with bare tile/wood/linoleum floors wake up each morning hopping, cursing the cold surface beneath us, until we reach the sock drawer. And yup, there they are. Just waiting for us like a good book or an old friend. Our favorite pair of fuzzy socks.
I don’t know who invented these things, marketed them so effectively that, about 5 years ago, they became as easy to find on the shelves of Target as spotting a girl on a college campus wearing Uggs, but to whoever that individual was/is, I say THANK YOU.
Thank you for making them plush and soft and a girl’s best friend. Thank you for making them in stripes and polka dots and tons of fun colors so I have options aplenty. Thank you for giving all of us stumped with what to buy for a $15 Christmas exchange such an easy out.
And most of all, thank you for making the cold (un)comforts of winter that much more bearable. For this my husband, spared a wife who crawls into bed with feet bricks of ice, thanks you too.
