Y’all know my friend Betsy (she DID give me a great kick-off to this new blog!) And you might just remember her son, Miles, and her hubby, John, from that great family session of theirs. But what many of you don’t know is that John is a composer. HOW COOL IS THAT? I love that Betsy can be all, “My husband John? Oh, yes, yes, he’s a composer.” John, that’s just so cool
Right, where was I? So John has been giving Betsy a hand in recent months, lending his musical ear to help create little mini-scores for her latest photo sessions. Photographers lovvveeee us a good slideshow (and we think our clients love them too!) and music of course plays a big part of that. So John decided to branch out from his traditional work of writing scores for commercials and films and other productions and start selling music to photographers too! Isn’t that cool?! I love that the King household is one full of enthusiasm for entrepreneurship — what a wonderful example they’re setting for Miles!

John was gracious enough to let me sample some of his original work and I’m telling you folks, I am IMPRESSED! If you’re a photographer who uses ShowIt Web for your slideshows and want to try something new and unique (and help another artist out), you’ve gotta give these a listen! And while you’re at it, think about buying a song or two! And because John is just the cool fella he is (okay, I’m cooling it with the “cool” starting……now!
) he’s giving anyone who reads this blog entry and decides to order a DISCOUNT! Woo hoo! Just enter the words GailWernerRocks and you’ll get 20 percent off your entire purchase at John’s site. I’m telling you people, John is one of the nicest, happiest, SMILEY-EST (oh, that is SO a word and John’s photo is right beside it in the dictionary) guys I’ve ever met, so I KNOW you’d all make his day if you’d take a little shopping spree in his new e-store!
And to hear a sample of John’s music for photographers, head on over to his site or take a peek at a senior session of mine (Cheri is now a freshman at Ball State, so this is a bit of a blast from the past, exactly one year ago!) Enjoy and GET SHOPPING!
