Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Nicole and Jason: The Engagement

In my constant effort to shake things up here with my business, I’ve decided to get all 20 Questions with my clients (okay, not really THAT many) before shoots. When you book with me, shortly before our session it’s my goal to get a few questions sent your way to help me get to know you better as a couple/family.

Nicole and Jason were the first couple to be my guinea pigs for this interactive experiment and seriously, who knew the answers to 12 questions could make me just fall in love with a couple in love? I loved everything Nicole had to say about her fiance, Jason, and so when our session rolled around, it was so fun to witness their bond and to see the confidence in the face of a woman who’s found the guy she wants to be with for the rest of her life. Can you see it too? :)

0004nicolejason_blog10016nicolejason_blog3There is just something about this photograph for me. When I look at it I can see Nicole’s inner beauty just as much as the outer beauty.0011nicolejason_blog

Name your personality traits: Jason says I’m cute and lovable, but I don’t know if that counts, so how about passionate … — Nicole

Girl, you are DEFINITELY cute and lovable here!

There’s that look…seriously, is this a woman who loves her man or what? LOVE IT :)

We’ve had so much bad weather as of late that it wasn’t until I headed out to this session, looked around me, and then got home and processed this image that I was all, “Ooohhh, righhhttt…it IS fall. You know, that season you say is your favorite time of year.” So thanks to this photograph for reminding me …

Nicole is a member of Purdue’s Ballroom Dancing club and mentioned that she and Jason enjoy a good ballroom dance. Of course I had to ask them to show me some of their moves!dancing2

And I had to end with this cute little series. Nicole had asked if I could take a few snaps for an idea she had for save the date cards. But of course! Clients, if you have something like this you want to incorporate into our shoot, go on and ask away. I’m more than happy to oblige! filmstrip
