Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

The kindness of friends

The older I get, the more I understand that the best kinds of friends to have are those who pay attention. To you. To the stories you tell. The anxieties you have. What your favorite color is. Whose music you love best. I’m blessed to have a few of these friendships in my life and I just had to take time to thank two friends in particular who’ve gone out of their way to brighten a few of my days these past few weeks.

The first is Tina. After my visit to see her back in April, I got this package from her in the mail. (And seriously, who DOESN’T love an unexpected package?) A thank you card for having taken her engagement photos. And this adorable travel journal from Anthropology. She wanted to make sure that, if the mood struck, I’d be ready with pen and paper in hand to document my self-dubbed “trip of a lifetime.”

And then there is Maya. I came home recently to an oversized envelope. “Who is this from?” Inside a sweet note from one of the sweetest photographers I’ve ever met, letting me know she’d seen this print, thought of Nick and I’s coming trip to Europe, and couldn’t resist.

Two awesome girlfriends who’ve listened over the past six months to my stories about planning this epic vacation and the anxieties and excitement that have come with it. Two awesome girlfriends who went out of their way to show me how excited they are for me and for this trip. And whose capacity to listen is an even greater gift than these tokens of their friendship. THANK YOU GIRLS :)
