In case you haven’t turned on your TV in the past week, you might not have heard about how much of the Midwest right now is covered in a layer of snow or, in our case, a sheet of ice. When I was picking up groceries on Monday (along with everyone else who lived in my city—the fear of Snowpocalypse 2011 had us all grabbing milk and bread and canned beans), I decided that the ingredients for a batch of home-made chicken soup were in order.
This is a recipe I’ve made often enough now I could do it in my sleep. It’s Nick’s FAVORITE thing I make (which is silly, because it requires such little effort on my part). But because it’s simple, fast, easy and OH SO GOOD, I thought I’d share it for those of you who also need warming up this week. Stay warm ’cause BRRRRRR, baby it is COLD outside!
