Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

The proof I needed …

For most of my weddings, I’m hired as a one-gal show. If I do have someone accompany me, it’s in the role of assistant, never a second shooter. That all changed earlier this month when Courtney Reece accompanied me as second shooter to my most recent wedding. You know how people always talk about how they’ll never believe in all those Elvis or alien sightings until, you know, there is ACTUAL DOCUMENTED PROOF they’re really out there? Well, that’s kind of the way I’ve long felt about being a wedding photographer. Until I could see it with my own eyes, it just didn’t seem believable that it was actually me taking all those photographs.

So thanks, Courtney, for giving me that documented proof. :)

By the way, don’t ask why I have my flash pointing at that angle for this shot. A) I wasn’t using it at the time and B) it tends to have a mind of its own. Kind of like my body when I’m shooting a wedding and drape it on the ground and on the floor in a million different positions and then wake up the next morning wondering why I can’t move. ;)

May 12, 2010 - 7:39 am Amanda - Too cute! I love behind the scenes stuff. I do the same kind of contortionist ninja moves but still always wonder why I'm so stinking sore the next day!
