Haha… I love that you two established this rule early on. Unfortunately for me, I have continued to try and watch certain chic flicks with my husband… but I have found that my enjoyment level goes down as I hear a cynical comment just as I’m about to shed a tear. Ah well… =) He gets a “B” for effort.

I love chick flicks but Matt lucked out because I also really like “guy” movies. They usually rule out on movie nights so my chick flicks end up being my “me time”.

I don’t know where to start…I watch more “chick flicks” than 95% of the women I know. Two of my top three fav movies of all time (currently) are romantic comedies…”The Holiday” and “You’ve Got Mail.” I’ve always hated the term “chick flicks” and I know it’s in the dictionary now, but I watch them and I’m definitely not a chick How I love those movies though! My favorite as of late is “Leap Year.” Thanks for this post!

OK, this post cracks me up. I LOVE chic flicks, but my my hubby never lets us rent them. But we do own Love Actually, which is one of my all time favorite movies. And he does like that one…thank goodness. But you should also include in the pile, He’s Just Not That Into You. Fun post.

I have to watch the guy movies to get in a chick flick with Pat. However, when it comes to a movie being slightly artsy, I’ve got a lot more pull with him. So 500 Days of Summer was an easy sell. He fell asleep during Love Actually.

Gail… we haven’t fully enforced that rule around here… but it is a RARITY! I mean, I watch Kung Fu movies at least once a year with him… I expect him to return the favor. HOWEVER… I have gotten “The Notebook” twice from NetFlix and returned it both times without watching… Time for me to just suck it up and watch it alone. Oh, and one more thing… clicked on that link… not sure why, but him talking that way made me uncomfortable… it seemed insincere and rehearsed… LOVE TO YOU!!!!!
