Gail Werner Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Gail Werner is a central Indiana wedding and portrait photographer.
Here’s where she tells you she likes the feel of the ocean and the
taste of champagne. Oh wait …

Truth is, she does love the ocean (when she can make it to a
coast!), but what she loves more is documenting the lives of her
clients — big days, little moments, they all carry meaning and deserve
to be captured.

This blog is where Gail shares her current client work and don’t be
surprised to find plenty of personal antecedotes on here as well.
Because when it comes to her life, Gail’s pretty much an open book. And
speaking of books, well, she loves those too. And her husband. And her
dog. So stick around and find out what else she likes or head over to www.gailwernerphoto.com to take a peek at her portfolio. Want to get a hold of her? E-mail Gail at gail@gailwernerphoto.com.

And just for the record, Gail also likes pina coladas but draws the line at getting caught in the rain.

Gail Werner is available for travel to any location.

Too much of a good thing

I used to wonder if I’d ever get sick of traveling. It’s become such a part of my late 20s, something I love to do so very much. Because of this, I’d think to myself, “Nahhh…no way. Not possible. There could never be too much of this kind of good thing.”

After the week I’m coming off of, I’ve proved myself wrong. I spent Monday through Wednesday in New York City, then packed up again to leave Friday and spend the weekend in New England with photographer friend Gwyneth Colleen, helping her with some shoots she had on her plate.

Both of these trips were incredible. I wouldn’t take either of them back. But both coming in the span of 7 days? TOTALLY reminded me that my body has limits. And that I almost pushed myself beyond what it could handle. And that I have this awesome husband named Nick that I need to pay more attention to.

So this is just a reminder to myself that whether it’s that entire pint of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food or cramming two cross-country journeys into the same week, there can DEFINITELY be too much of a good thing.

Now, flowers, on the other hand, there can never been too much of those. Unless you’re allergic to them. In which case, we’ll just have to agree to disagree :)

PS – Speaking of Nick, I AM excited to know that the next time I pack a suitcase, I’ll be packing for my hubby too!

June 1, 2010 - 6:19 pm Tina - I've been thinking about you this past week - thinking that I would be EXHAUSTED if I were you! But you're right, at least next time you're on the move it will be with Nick. To an AMAZING location (or should I say locations:) Time to take a breather!

June 1, 2010 - 10:04 pm Adrienne Gunde - It's true! After some crazy traveling I'm always so happy to be home and to relax... even though I promptly forget about that and always get wanderlusty again pretty quickly :) Hope you get a nice break before you take off again!
